SEAQUAL INITIATIVE

Kleinhempel is a partner of the SEAQUAL INITIATIVE, helping to eliminate plastic from the oceans. Global clean-up programs collect plastic from beaches, the seabed and the ocean surface and then sort it into different types of material.

Upcycling

The plastic portion is cleaned and converted into "Upcycled Marine Plastic™". 200 tons of marine waste have already been converted into SEAQUAL® MARINE PLASTIC by the SEAQUAL INITIATIVE. This new, traceable and certified raw material is processed into sustainable products made from SEAQUAL® YARN, which are 100% PVC-free.

Environmentalism

Sustainability is our top priority. To reduce plastic pollution, we offer our customers prints made from 100% recycled, high-quality polyester yarn - SEAQUAL® YARN contains around 10% SEAQUAL® MARINE PLASTIC from marine waste and 90% post-consumer PET from land sources.
